Section 8 HCV Program

**Portability Notice 

                                                           for Non-Resident Applicants**

Applicants for the Section 8 HCV Program who cannot prove residency in Abingdon Housing's service area for a period of at least 12 consecutive months immediately prior to being issued a voucher, will not be allowed to port their voucher to another locality immediately upon voucher issuance.

Abingdon Housing services the Town Limits of Abingdon only.

Non-resident applicants once issued a voucher by Abingdon Housing, must lease in 
Abingdon Housing's service area for at least one (1) year prior to requesting portability to another locality.​
